My work at DLR

Employment period: October 2016 - April 2017

DLR consists of many departments focused on different scientific topics. I worked at the Institue of System Dynamics and Control (SR) at Oberpfaffenhofen, Bavaria, where I wrote my Master Thesis. In this thesis, I created partsival - a GPU-based discrete element method simulation toolkit which is now actively used at the department.

At DLR, I met professional scientists working on various projects in close collaboration with NASA, JAXA and more. Their expertise gave me a deep insight into professional research, experimentation and simulations.

Beyond writing my thesis, I was also given the opportunity to co-author a conference paper based on my thesis work. It was presented at the IMSD 2018 in Lisboa, Portugal. For details and links, please see Master of Science.
